PT Observation Hours
Information about your PT requirements
Due to COVID-19, we reduced the PT observation hours requirement to 25 hours for the 2022-23 admission cycle.  

A PT must be on staff for hours to be considered direct, rather than related.  Volunteer, observation, shadow, and paid hours are weighted equally.  Exposure to breadth and depth of practice environments and clients preferred.

Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency (See the UW Graduate School Requirement at https://grad.uw.edu/policies-procedures/graduate-school-memoranda/memo-8-graduate-school-english-language-proficiency-requirements/). A minimum of 100 on the TOEFL iBT is required. Test scores must be sent directly to PTCAS by the Educational Testing Service using institution code 5312. Only scores less than two years old will be accepted.
