GRE scores are required of all applicants. There is no minimum score required for admission, but your scores will be used in the selection process. We recommend that scores be near the national average of 45-55 percentile for each section (Quantitative, Verbal, & Written). We will also accept traditional GRE scores and the new at-home version as well.
* Letters of reference must be submitted through the PTCAS portal. Application materials sent directly to the program will not be accepted. * We ask that applicants submit at least two letters of recommendation, preferably from licensed PT's, Academic Faculty, or Supervisors. We will not accept letters of recommendation from a family member or personal friend. Any letters you submit via PTCAS will be reviewed by the selection committee.
We do not have a set minimum number of observation hours. However, we do strongly recommend students try to obtain some observation hours or exposure to the profession. We will also accept telehealth and/or virtual observation hours. Observation hours should focus on the quality of the experience, not the number of hours as overall number of hours is not a deciding factor for admissions. The selection committee uses observation hours to see if you have a basic understanding/knowledge of the profession before committing to the rigorous process of attaining a physical therapy degree.
We use GPA's calculated by PTCAS which will take into account all course attempts in the calculation.
