Program requires 2 letters of recommendation.  A letter from a physical therapist is PREFERRED.  
PT Observation Hours
Information about your PT requirements
Observation of physical therapists in several different settings (e.g. hospital, outpatient, school, skilled nursing facility, or working with clients with different diagnoses (e.g. orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, or integumentary) is strongly recommended and is considered by the Admissions Committee.  Documentation of hours by a physical therapist is not required and there is no minimum number of required observation hours.

Additional information about program's GPA requirements
An overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above as calculated by PTCAS is required for admission to the DPT program. Applicants must have received a grade of C or better in all required prerequisite courses with an overall average of a 3.0. Transcripts will be used to make the determination on the prerequisite course grades. 

Math/science GPA as calculated by PTCAS is also considered in the admission process. Students will be considered for admission if they list a plan in the PTCAS application to complete their baccalaureate degree and all required prerequisite courses prior to the start of the program. To be fully accepted into the DPT program students must complete a baccalaureate degree and all required prerequisite courses prior to the start of fall courses in the first year.

Foreign-educated students must meet all university requirements for proficiency in English. International Application Requirements: Applicants who are not U.S. citizens and/or applicants with foreign academic credentials may also be required to submit the following application materials: 1. Official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) from applicants who are graduates of programs taught in a language other than English. 2. Word-for-word translations of all foreign language documents. Both the original transcript (in the native language) and the English translation are required for review.
