Per CAPTE: "This program has begun the process toward accreditation by submitting an Application for Candidacy. A review of the Application for Candidacy is scheduled and a determination on candidacy is anticipated prior to their stated matriculation date. Submission of an Application for Candidacy does not assure that the program will be granted Candidate for Accreditation status. Achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status is required prior to implementation of the professional phase of the program; therefore, no students may be enrolled in professional courses until Candidate for Accreditation status has been achieved."

Should the program not obtain Candidate for Accreditation status and not be eligible to admit students, applicants to the program will not be refunded the PTCAS application fee paid to apply to the program.

Program Description

In as few as two years (completion time depends on maintaining full-time study and completing all scheduled courses with the cohort), you'll prepare to enter the workforce as a well-rounded clinician, health advocate and thought leader in physical therapy. Our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is accelerated, innovative and competitively priced - focused on helping you restore and improve patients' quality of life. You'll experience the best of online courses, in-person learning and community-based clinical education in our hybrid program.

Currently, this program is NOT eligible for participation in Title IV federal student aid programs.

* Finish in as few as two years(1)

* No relocation required(2)

* Hybrid program with online, in-person and clinical education courses

* Competency-based curriculum focused on developing knowledge and skills

* 20+ years of online education leadership from Rasmussen University

Together with our experienced faculty, you and your cohort will create a vibrant learning community. You'll study alongside the same students throughout your program, allowing you to build strong relationships with like-minded professionals from across the country. You'll also have the chance to build personal connections with faculty through 1:1 mentoring.

To become familiar with current topics in the physical therapy profession, you'll spend the first three days of each quarter interacting with peers and faculty through live, online sessions. Then you'll take a deep dive into the material in our online, competency-based education courses. Instead of being graded simply on remembering information, you'll put your knowledge into practice through real-world activities.

Five times throughout the program, you'll travel to Eagan, Minnesota, for 6-11-day in-person learning experiences to refine your skills and practice hands-on care. Immersive labs and technology will help ensure you get the most realistic experience possible. You'll also complete 30 weeks of full-time clinical education - putting your skills to practice in the real world.

This unique blend of learning formats will allow you to connect with a national network of clinicians - without having to relocate. From application to graduation and beyond, we're here to set you up for success. Step by step, we'll help you become a future-focused physical therapist in the evolving healthcare system.

(1) Completion time depends on maintaining full-time study and completing all scheduled courses with the cohort.

(2) Students are responsible for costs associated with all travel (including room and board) expenses for the residential immersions in Minnesota and clinical education experiences.
