Program Description

The Hawai'i Pacific University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is the first and only program in Hawai'i. It is efficiently delivered in 2 years using a hybrid (online/onsite) format, allowing students to reside anywhere in the US. With the efficient and effective delivery of this program, students are in the clinic treating patients and earning an income sooner than graduates from traditional programs that require 30-36 months of education. The HPU DPT experience includes the best of online distance education, hands-on lab immersions on HPU's beautiful downtown Honolulu campus, and 32 weeks of full-time clinical experiences. The program provides students the opportunity to complete clinical education across the US, including unique experiences on O'ahu, Maui, Hawai'i, Kauai, and other Pacific Islands.  Students take no more than four courses during each 8-week academic term (6-terms per year) to optimize learning.
