In the fall of 2022, Creighton University launched a Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Phoenix, Arizona, with a shared mission and curriculum modeled after our U.S. News & World Report, top-10 ranked Omaha program.
Creighton has a long, rich history of excellence in physical therapy education - the first Doctor of Physical Therapy program in the U.S. The students in our program in Phoenix will learn in a new, state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of midtown Phoenix in Park Central. This unique, modern health sciences campus will be home to nearly 900 students across multiple professions bringing interprofessional collaborative practice and education to improve and innovate patient care.
As a university in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition of excellence and compassion, Creighton's physical therapy program in Phoenix will incorporate our values of caring for the whole person, improving patients' lives, and promoting human dignity. The curriculum will be learner and patient-centered, include authentic learning experiences, and foster adaptive learning and strong clinical reasoning.
Physical therapy faculty possess a visionary and pioneering spirit to help meet the needs of developing health care professionals, the physical therapy profession, and the individuals and communities we serve. We will help you learn how to be an active participant in health care teams with hundreds of clinical education experiences. In addition, we have devoted vibrant learning opportunities with academically solid medical partnerships that not only host hands-on experiences plus help you secure employment upon graduation.
The program will work closely with the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, a partnership with Creighton University, Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Valleywise Health, and District Medical Group. It was formed as a strategic partnership to strengthen and expand the number of physicians and other health professionals in Arizona by improving current health education programs.

Interviews are granted on a rolling basis, and several interview dates are held throughout the cycle. Qualified candidates are invited to the next available interview dates following initial review of their complete application. Interviews will be held in-person on the Creighton Phoenix Health Science Campus.
Class reservation deposits will be due 15 days after offer of admission has been issued.
Institution is private; therefore, state of residency is not a factor in admission. Program gives priority for an interview invitation to applicants who completed all prerequisites at Creighton based on certain criteria in the form of a guaranteed interview (Creighton undergraduate applicants are encouraged to contact the Office of Admission for more information).
