This is a one-of-a-kind bridge program specifically designed for the physical therapist assistant (PTA) who wishes to earn a doctor of physical therapy degree. Face-to-face class sessions will occur six weekends per term in fall, winter, and spring terms, for a total of 18 on-campus sessions per year. Currently, the summer semester is comprised of online course work. Due to the hybrid nature of the program, students will be responsible for content outside of on-campus sessions. Students in the program are required to work at least an average of 10 hours per week as a PTA to complement the coursework. In addition, students are expected to complete 30 weeks of clinical education experiences. Please be advised, you are required to complete a criminal background check including fingerprinting within the first term of the program; any criminal record could affect clinical site acceptance and/or licensure.
