Program Description
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program curriculum at the University of Mount Union is unique. The program is a blend of traditional lecture and lab with problem-based learning methodology utilizing patient case studies. Mount Union Physical Therapy program’s mission is to prepare sensitive (astute), responsive Doctors of Physical Therapy to utilize evidence and best practices for lifelong service to patients, clients and society.

The University of Mount Union has a long tradition of preparing students to be compassionate, caring humanitarians, and this is the foundation for Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Mount Union’s DPT curriculum is also structured with opportunities for inter-professional education with our nursing, physician assistant and exercise science pre-professionals to name a few.

Mount Union’s state-of-the-art science facility, long-term working relationships with the Alliance Community Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and cooperative relationships with Canton and Youngstown area hospitals, it builds upon a strong foundation to deliver a successful Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
