Program Description
At the University of Dayton’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, you will graduate as a knowledgeable, reflective and service-oriented practitioner. You will also be equipped with the education and leadership skills needed for the future. You will grow personally and professionally as you develop your skills in critical thinking, lifelong learning and ethical decision-making as you test your ability to render independent judgments concerning the needs of the patient and community using the latest in evidence-based practice.

Our three-year (eight-semester) program is fully accredited by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

The University of Dayton is a top-tier Catholic research university committed, in the Marianist tradition, to educating the whole person and linking learning and scholarship with leadership and service. Our innovative program combines classroom and hands-on training from day one that will prepare you to meet the demands of a rapidly changing health care system.

Program highlights include:
• Four integrated clinical rotations (39 weeks total) of full-time clinical training.
• Unique small group problem-based learning (PBL) focusing on real patient cases.
• Hands-on clinical research and service learning.
• Independent study and practice electives in your area of interest.
