Course Prerequisites
General Information 
All prerequisite courses must be completed with a C or better (2.0 on 4.0 scale) to be accepted toward fulfilling the requirement.  CLEP hours/credits are not accepted for any prerequisite course work. Applicants completing courses on the quarter hour system should be aware of the equivalency of hours for the semester system and convert their quarter hours accordingly to insure that they meet the minimum semester hour requirements.  6 quarter hrs = 4.02 semester hours; 5 quarter hrs = 3.35 semester hours; 4 quarter hrs = 2.68 semester hours; 3 quarter hrs = 2.01 semester hours; 2 quarter hrs = 1.34 semester hours; 1 quarter hr  = 0.67 semester hrs.
Anatomy and/or Physiology (A&P) course prerequisites MUST be completed in biology, neuroscience, anatomy, or integrated physiology department

Anatomy
An introductory course sequence of human anatomy and physiology I & II is preferred. An on-site laboratory must be completed to fulfill the lab requirement for anatomy coursework. Comparative, vertebrate and other animal (mammalian) anatomy courses do NOT fulfill the anatomy requirement. Exceptions to this requirement are made on a case-by-case basis dependent upon the applicant demonstrating that their degree-granting institution does not offer human anatomy. Advanced placement (AP) credits are NOT acceptable toward fulfilling this requirement. Coursework older than 5 years not accepted.
