Supplemental Materials are NOT required. If you have a Prerequisite Worksheet filled out by one of our admission counselors or other documents that you would like to submit at this time, please do so in the "Applicant Uploaded" documents section of the application. This is NOT a requirement.
Please note, our supplemental questions= our interview questions and are weighted as such.
Two letters of reference are required; one from a professor/faculty member (any subject) that addresses your academic preparedness for a DPT program and the other from a physical therapist* who has supervised you in a clinical environment (inpatient or outpatient, shadowing, volunteer or employment). Up to five letters will be accepted; all five letters will be reviewed.
*Due to pandemic restrictions, a letter from a PT is not required, but highly recommended. If you are unable to obtain a letter of reference from a PT, you must still submit at least 2 letters, preferably from persons that are familiar with your skills and capabilities.
40 hours of PT experience (either paid, volunteer or shadowing) are preferred, but not required this cycle due to COVID-19.
Documented experience in more than one setting is recommended, including both outpatient and inpatient settings, in order to demonstrate exposure to the multiple practice environments where physical therapists work.
Last 60 Unit GPA: Only the most chronologically recent 60 semester/90 quarter (Last 60) units will be calculated for this GPA, by PTCAS. Cumulative (all college) GPA is no longer considered.
Prerequisite GPA: Courses satisfying a prerequisite requirement may be repeated once if the initial grade earned is a C+ or below. If a prerequisite course is repeated, we will use the new/highest grade earned to replace the original in the prerequisite GPA calculation, if available at the time of application submission.
