The Physical Therapy program at Misericordia University accepts most of its students directly from high school into a Pre-DPT program.  Students pursue an undergraduate major while completing the DPT prerequisites, and are then guaranteed progression into the graduate DPT program upon achieving specific academic criteria.

A limited number of students is typically accepted on a space-available basis into the graduate portion of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  The Physical Therapy Department expects to have up to 5 seats available in the DPT class for graduate admission during the 2022-2023 admissions cycle. Program Description

The majority of students are admitted at the freshman year level. They complete 6-1/2 years of study, resulting in a bachelor's degree and a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree. During the first 3-1/2 years, the student completes the requirements for a bachelor's degree in an area of the student's choice. The graduate DPT program begins in spring semester annually.  A student admitted at the post-baccalaureate level completes 3 years of graduate study, resulting in a DPT degree. The graduate DPT program is eight semesters in length.
