Program Description

Choose to Be Extraordinary!

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program at High Point University is a student-centered, community-engaged, globally-involved educational, research, and clinical leader dedicated to the improvement of health and well-being through the advancement of knowledge in rehabilitation science and the practice of physical therapy. The program is housed in the state-of-the-art Congdon School of Health Sciences, a 220,000 square foot, $125 million facility. These facilities contain world class labs and inter-professional education spaces as well as advanced technology including high fidelity mannequins and an MRI machine. The curriculum emphasizes clinical application and serving the community as well as exposure to physical therapy specialty practice areas.

In addition to this facility, the Physical Therapy program opened a 45+ hour a week pro-bono clinic in 2018. The clinic provides free health care and access to physical therapy services to all those in need in our community.  Students in our Physical Therapy program work in this clinic, providing them opportunities for clinical rotations.
