The Emory & Henry College Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is a three-year, nine semester, 119-credit hour program. The coursework is organized into curricular themes, with the emphasis in the first year on foundations of clinical sciences, introductory clinical skills, and applied clinical sciences. The coursework in the second and third years emphasize advanced clinical sciences and skills, and critical inquiry courses necessary to prepare knowledgeable and competent physical therapists.Threaded throughout the curriculum are courses on various professional issues, learning experiences and community engagement. The clinical education components of the program, include five part-time clinical immersions (occurring in semesters 2-6) and three full-time clinical internships (occurring in semesters 7-9). These clinical education components allow students to practice the profession at an entry level in various clinical settings under the supervision of licensed and experienced physical therapists.
Please be advised that the $1,000 deposit will be applied to your DPT tuition. The deposit fee is a payment to secure your spot in the DPT program; if you decide not to attend Emory & Henry College the deposit is non-refundable.
