Program Description
Our Mission:

The D’Youville Department of Physical Therapy prepares students for professional success as doctors of physical therapy and leaders in their communities. The Department uses evidence-based learning and community service to develop student skills and contributes to the PT profession through faculty and student scholarly activity.

Our Vision:

The D’Youville Physical Therapy Department will be recognized for excellence in the preparation of clinical practitioners who are leaders in providing evidence based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care as members of collaborative inter-professional teams.

Our program integrates interprofessional education with traditional coursework, graduate research and online learning. D'Youville's unique interprofessional education lab offers the opportunity to practice treating patients (played by actors) alongside a team of students from 7 other healthcare majors-all under the supervision of skilled instructors. Nine consecutive semesters allow you to complete the program in 3 years.
