Program Description

Briar Cliff University was granted accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) in May of 2018. As a result, this is your chance to be part of a program that has and will continue to have an impact in Siouxland, and beyond, for years to come. The 33 month DPT program includes:

* A progressive, clinical-based curriculum. Designed with input from faculty and practicing expert clinicians across the country, this program prepares you to work with a variety of patients, from newborns to athletes to older adults.

* Hands-on, service-learning experiences. In collaboration with community partners, you'll work side-by-side with faculty and clinicians to provide health and wellness outreach to underserved populations across the tri-state area.

* The renovated Mayfair Building, which is an extension of the main campus of Briar Cliff University's campus, provides DPT students with over 14,000 square feet of dedicated learning and research space.  Housed within this space is the student-run Briar Cliff Physical Therapy Clinic, which provides free rehabilitation services to those in the community who are uninsured or underinsured. Our students are able to receive hands-on experience while offering quality care to the community under the supervision of licensed professionals.
